FAQs
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes, once a week.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We’ll probably meet in person in Shoreditch, but online works too.
What is integrative psychotherapy?
It means I draw on a range of different approaches in our work. You’re a person, after all, and you might not fit into a neat box. Integrative psychotherapy gives us some flexibility in how we work together.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Honestly, at this stage you might not. But after a few sessions you’ll get a feel for the process, and we can talk about what is and isn’t working. Therapy isn’t always comfortable, but we can work together to make sure it feels safe.
Do I need therapy? Are my problems serious enough?
If you’re asking the question, there might be something worth exploring. But honestly, you won’t know if therapy is helpful for you until you give it a go. We can talk about what you want to get out of it too.
What if I’ve never done therapy before?
That’s ok. There’s no right or wrong way to do therapy. It can feel odd and counter-cultural to talk about yourself for 50 minutes. But we’ll work out a pattern that works, and over time, you’ll feel safer and perhaps, more will come to the surface.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you share in sessions stays between us. You can read more in my privacy policy.
What if I want to stop?
You can stop therapy whenever you like. But we'd talk about it first. Endings are important. Let’s do ours properly.
