Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I need a therapist?

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or simply not yourself, speaking to a therapist can help. You do not need to wait for things to reach a crisis point. Many people come to therapy because they want to understand themselves better and live with more freedom.

What happens in a therapy session?

Each session is a confidential space for you to talk about whatever feels important. As your therapist, I will listen carefully, reflect with you and sometimes gently challenge patterns that might be holding you back.

How long will I need therapy?

There is no set length of time. Some people come for a few months, others for several years. We will review our work together regularly so that therapy fits your needs.

Is therapy with you confidential?

Yes. I am bound by an ethical code to protect your confidentiality.

What type of therapy do you offer?

I trained as an integrative therapist. This means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt them to what feels most helpful for you.

Can I see you online as well as in person?

Yes. I work both in London and online. Some people prefer to meet face to face, while others find online therapy works best for them.

What if I do not know what to talk about?

That is completely fine. Part of my role as a therapist is to help you find the words for what you are experiencing. Silence, uncertainty and confusion all have a place in therapy.

Do you work with specific communities?

I work with anyone who wants to explore themselves more deeply and create some more lightness in their lives. However, I also have experience supporting ex-boarders, activists, the LGBT+ community and people struggling with the climate emergency.

How do I start therapy with you?

You can arrange an introductory session. This is a chance for us to meet, talk about what brings you here and see if we feel like a good fit.

What if I have tried therapy before and it did not work?

It is completely normal to have mixed experiences with therapy. Each therapist is different, and the relationship is at the heart of the work. If you choose to work with me, we will take time to build trust and create a space that feels right for you.
