Therapy for Anxiety
A space to explore your anxiety and discover new ways of living with more ease
Anxiety can make life feel like a constant tightening, a low hum of worry that never quite goes away. It can shape the way you think, the way you move through the world, and the way you connect with others.
Therapy offers a space to pause, to explore what anxiety is telling you, and to discover ways to live more freely. As an anxiety therapist, I create a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. Here we can make sense of your worries together, so that they take up less space in your life.
What Is Anxiety Therapy?
Therapy is a dedicated time each week to focus on yourself and your experiences. It is a chance to reflect on your thoughts and feelings, to explore patterns that may be holding you back, and to find new ways of relating to yourself and the world.
With me as your anxiety therapist, therapy is a collaborative process. We will work together to understand your anxiety, noticing how it appears in your body, mind and daily life. Therapy is not about simply getting rid of anxiety but learning to live with it in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
Signs You Might Benefit from Therapy
You might benefit from seeing an anxiety therapist if you notice that:
Worry and tension often feel overwhelming
Stress interferes with work, relationships or sleep
You feel stuck in patterns of overthinking or avoidance
You experience physical symptoms like a racing heart, tension, or restlessness
Anxiety stops you from pursuing what matters most
Anxiety takes many forms and affects people in different ways. Whatever shape it takes for you, therapy offers a chance to understand it, to respond rather than react, and to regain a sense of ease in your life.
How Anxiety Therapy Works
Therapy begins with a conversation. In our first session, we will explore what brings you here and what you hope to achieve. I will listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and create a safe space where you can speak freely.
Over the course of therapy, we will look at the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that maintain your anxiety. We may explore past experiences, current challenges, and patterns that show up in your relationships or work.
Sessions are guided by your pace and needs. You are in control of what we focus on, and the work we do together will be tailored to you.
My Expertise and Approach
I trained at the Minster Centre, one of the leading psychotherapy trainings in the UK, with an integrative approach that draws from different therapy traditions. This allows me to adapt my methods to suit you, rather than fitting you into a rigid framework.
I have worked extensively with people managing anxiety, depression, grief, stress and burnout. I also have experience supporting activists, members of the LGBT+ community, and others facing unique life pressures.
In our sessions, you can expect empathy, curiosity and respect. Therapy is a partnership, and my aim is to create a safe container where you can feel heard and understood. It is often in this space that insight, growth and change emerge.
The Benefits of Anxiety Therapy
Working with an anxiety therapist can help you:
Feel calmer and more grounded in your day-to-day life
Understand the sources and patterns of your anxiety
Develop strategies to respond rather than react to worry
Build resilience and confidence in your decisions
Restore a sense of control and spontaneity in life
Therapy does not promise instant relief, but it offers a way to live more fully, less constrained by fear or tension. Many clients find that over time they feel more at ease in themselves, more able to engage with life, and better able to navigate challenges without being overwhelmed.

FAQs About Therapy for Anxiety
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to meet and see if working together feels right. You can share what brings you here, ask me any questions, and get a sense of my style as an anxiety therapist. There is no pressure to commit, it is about finding out if therapy feels like a good fit for you.
How long will therapy take?
There is no fixed length of time for therapy. Some people come for just a few sessions to focus on something specific. Others stay longer, finding value in the ongoing process of exploration. We can regularly reflect together on how the work feels and whether you would like to continue.
What if I am nervous about starting?
It is completely natural to feel nervous. Beginning therapy often stirs up uncertainty. Many people find that naming those feelings at the start helps. Therapy is a space where all of your thoughts and emotions are welcome, including doubt or hesitation.
Do you only work with people who have anxiety?
Not at all. While I often work as an anxiety therapist, I also see people who want to explore depression, grief, stress, burnout, identity and many other concerns. Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply.
What if therapy doesn’t work for me?
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I may not be the right therapist for everyone. Sometimes it takes a little while to find the right approach or the right person to work with. If at any point you feel that therapy is not helping, we can talk about it openly and think together about what you need next.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes, with a few exceptions for safety reasons which I can explain fully in our first session. Confidentiality is a key part of creating a safe space where you can speak freely.
